As emphasized by Tormo & Asociados consultancy in its Report on the franchising sector , the sector of hotels and restaurants has made a turnover during 2010 of 3.662 million euros, 0.6% but less than 2009, is still a good figure for both hoteliers and for the franchise and self-employment (for at least 80.8% of businesses are franchised, while the remaining 19.2% are typical). The franchise is set and an excellent alternative to self-employment and hospitality as an interesting business option.
Behind the retail sector, with 10,687 euros billed in 2010, the field of restoration in an interesting option for those entrepreneurs who want to start an activity of self-employment.
While it is true that sales of the catering business are down an average of 3.5% in 2010, according to the INE, the franchised business have allowed self reinvent and reshape business ideas and existed, and have attracted an audience unusually inactive in terms of eating out or dining out, mainly due to the economic situation that is immersed in the society.
